Get off to a really good start, by renting a Yamaha YTS-280 tenor saxophone. Please check with your teacher that this size is suitable for you.

You can rent with low monthly payments and no long-term commitments. We maintain it for you, and give you 50% of your rental payments back against its purchase price if you decide to buy it

How the scheme works:

  • Buy this rental online - we then email you the link to your rental agreement & DD mandate, which you can sign online. Once this is signed, we despatch your fully checked instrument by courier
  • Low cost monthly payment of just £50, taken by direct debit after the first 3 months, UK bank account only
  • Flexibility - Return the instrument at any time or purchase it at any time
  • Minimum 3 months rental. The first 3 months and a £9 delivery charge is taken online when you purchase this product
  • 100% of your rental payments are deducted from the purchase price, if you buy the instrument at 3 months
  • 50% of all your rental payments are deducted from the purchase price if you buy the instrument after the first 3 months
  • "Peace of Mind" insurance cover against loss or damage is included in the rental price. The hirer is responsible for the first 25% of retail price
  • If you collect the instrument in person from one of our shops, we will return your £9 delivery charge
  • Please note that for security we can only send the instrument to the cardholders registered address
  • Please note that your Rental Agreement and Direct Debit mandate will be emailed to you within one to two working days after we receive your order. Please ensure you check your spam or junk folder, as we are unable to dispatch the instrument until these documents have been signed and returned to us.

What else will I need?

  • The instrument comes complete with carrying case and mouthpiece
  • You will need some sax reeds to start. We show some suggestions below. Ask us or your teacher for advice on strengths
  • You should also buy 2 pull-throughs to clean moisture from the inside as Yamaha do not include them
  • Your teacher may suggest other items, such as a music stand and tutor books

FREE UK Delivery on any order over £10!

Orchestral Instruments - Delivery is FREE within Great Britain for all instruments. The price you see is the price you pay. (Instruments over £100 are always sent by our Express service, regardless of the service selected in the checkout.)

Pianos - Delivery is FREE within Great Britain for all pianos. The price you see is the price you pay. We use a courier service and aim to have most things delivered within 3 working days.

Doorstep Drop-off only. Pianos are delivered flatpack, usually on a pallet, for self assembly. Please be aware that if you choose our courier service for larger items such as digital pianos, the courier is not contracted to carry items up any steps or stairs. If there are stairs leading to the front door of the delivery address, or you live in an apartment which is not on pavement level, it is your responsibility to arrange for transportation from the pavement level to the delivery address. Please be aware that the box can weigh 60Kg to 120Kg. We recommend that that you have help to move the box to the room of your choice from two or three able-bodied persons. In this instance, the delivery driver may, at their own discretion assist you in carrying the parcels into the delivery address, but they are not contracted nor obliged to do so.

Piano deliveries in Sussex - Subject to availability, we are often able to offer a free, pre-arranged timed delivery and setup service within 50 miles of our shops. With this option pianos are delivered and assembled in your home and the piano is left ready to play.

Sheet music, accessories & gifts - We offer 5 services:

  • Standard: £2.00 for all orders under £10.00 - FREE for all orders over £10.00 (usually 1-3 business days)
  • Saver: £1.00 for all orders under £10.00 - FREE for all orders over £10.00 (usually 3-5 business days)
  • Tracked: 2.99 for all orders under 1kg - £3.99 for all orders over 1kg.
  • Express: £5.99 for all orders (usually 1 business day)
  • Saturday Express: £12.99 for all orders except larger instruments
