Oboe and Bassoon

The oboe is a double reed instrument. Most oboes play in the treble or soprano range and have metal keys, a conical bore and a flared bell.

The bassoon is also a double reed instrument. The bore of the bassoon is conical, like that of the oboe, and the two adjoining bores are connected at the bottom of the instrument with a U-shaped metal connector.
