We’re moving shops!
Ackerman Music Brighton is moving to join with Ackerman Music Hove from 1st May. The larger premises in Portland Road Hove will enable us to have a dedicated piano and keyboard showroom, along with demo booths for trying out any instrument from trumpets to oboes and everything in between.
We’ll also be increasing in size our sheet music department. We stock over 40 thousand titles of sheet music books at Hove for every instrument you could think of. No matter what you are looking for we probably have it in stock and if we haven’t, we can obtain most titles within a few days directly from the publishers. Our repair department is growing so our repairers will continue to handle repairs for woodwind, brass, orchestral stringed instruments and guitars. If your flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, violin, cello, much loved guitar or any other instrument needs a little work, bring it in to Hove and we’ll take a look.
We are also gaining a new warehouse and dispatch premises in Lancing to handle our growing internet and mail order business. “This move will enable us focus on and improve our supply of sheet music to musicians, students, teachers and music departments and will consolidate our position as one of the largest suppliers of sheet music in the UK,” said director Lynne Ackerman.
Ackerman Music was started in Hove in 1994 by Brian Ackerman. Today, Brian and his wife Lynne have expanded the business to include 3 branches in Sussex and a successful online presence. Brian has had many years’ experience of playing, making and repairing woodwind instruments and was awarded an ARAM for services to music. Lynne has been involved with music most of her life and is an active member of the local musical community and specialises in sheet music. Together they head a team of friendly and knowledgeable staff who aim to provide you high quality products at competitive prices with excellent service.
