The Primo Slinky set is one of the latest half-gauge sets added to Ernie Ball's infamous Slinky Range of Electric Guitar Sets. The 9.5-44 gauge is a great option for players who are looking to make the transition between a set of Super Slinky (09-42) strings and Regular Slinkys (10-46). Higher gauge strings often carry more tension which can make bending a little tougher on the hands but the 9.5 and 11.5 gauge strings, help to make the extra tension a little less noticeable whilst helping to add that bit extra bite and tone.

Played by Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Angus Young, Ernie Ball Super Slinky electric strings are precision manufactured by machine in Coachella, CA to the highest standards and most exacting specifications to ensure consistency, optimum performance, and long life. Slinky sets are then sealed in an airtight, water-tight foil package which is quality tested every hour at the factory.

Slinky wound strings are made with a smooth nickel-plated steel wire wrapped around a steel hex core. They have a warm, full-bodied tone which brings out more of the mid-frequency range compared to other strings and delivers an easy-under-the-finger feel which won’t wear out frets. The plain strings are made of specially tempered tin plated high carbon steel producing a well-balanced tone for your guitar.
